Loans for cross-border commuters

Do you work in Switzerland and live in France? A loan from a Swiss bank is possible, under certain conditions.

1 min read

Access is possible, but more selective

Only some Swiss banks grant loans to cross-border commuters. They often apply stricter conditions, because recovering debts outside Switzerland is more complex.

The criteria examined

Banks take into account how long you have been with your employer, the stability of your contract and the validity of your G permit.

  • A valid G permit
  • Stable employment in Switzerland, outside any probation period
  • Income paid into an account in Switzerland or France
  • No payment incidents

Calculating the budget

The budget is calculated on the same principles as for a resident, taking into account your expenses in France: rent, taxes and health insurance, whether under LAMal or the French system.

How we support you

We know which banks accept applications from cross-border commuters and how to present them. This saves you from piling up rejected applications.

Let's talk about your project.
